The Caingangue people are an indigenous Brazilian group whose ancestral lands span several south and central Brazil states, including the State of São Paulo. Today there are approximately 34,000 members of the Caingangue people. On a recent Sunday, Caingangue baskets were for sale at a downtown São Paulo sidewalk.
