Uruguay issues travel warning on major U.S cities, Brazil deforestation rises

The government of Uruguay issued a travel warning to all of its citizens regarding travel to the United States. It warned its cities to avoid three major U.S cities; Albuquerque, Detroit and Baltimore due to their place among the most dangerous cities in the world. The government also warned its citizens to avoid attending art festivals, going to theme parks, sporting events, and to avoid shopping centers and religious activities. Venezuela said something similar.

Detroit and several other major cities in Michigan are notorious for poverty and crime, and Baltimore has had some problems itself over the years, but Uruguay’s reason for including Albuquerque may be surprising to some, seeing as Albuquerque isn’t exactly famous for their crime like Chicago or Detroit or Baltimore are.

In Brazil, deforestation has risen recently, and its the biggest rise since 2014 according to the National Institute for Space Research, who’s leader was fired
