Saturday night I was able to celebrate one of the many aspects of my own heritage – Brazilian style (kind of)!
Day 230, we attended the Winter Ceilidh at the Brazilian British Centre. Sure there was Scottish dancing instead of Samba. But the real mix of Scots/Brazilian was in the food. Appetizers seemed to be Brazilian – deep fried mini eggs and small, mystery meat on a stick (Churrasco de Gato possibly?) But for the main meal it was Scots and curry – meat pie, spicy chicken, rice and apple pie.
