What’s On: Dreamscape Garden leaves Dig the City legacy in Piccadilly Basin

Dreamscape Gardens’ Show Garden, which featured on New Cathedral Street as part of Dig the City, Manchester’s urban gardening festival, has found a new permanent home in Piccadilly Basin as part of the Manchester Garden City scheme. The garden will be looked after by the local gardening group – the Northern Quarter Greening Group.

The garden, which includes lots of balcony-style planting, a small water feature and view of the Rochdale Canal near the Hacienda apartments on Whitworth Street West, will be located in Town Centre Securities’ Dale Street car park next to the Grow Box allotments.

With the focus on urban gardening and making the most of our outdoor space, Dig the City organisers – the Heart of Manchester Business Improvement District (BID) – are keen the festival leaves a lasting legacy to the people of Manchester. The event took place between 3-11 August and is set to…
