This past weekend our group went to Gozo, the smaller island that is part of Malta, on Saturday to explore it and go to Carnival!
Carnival is a celebration in many countries around the world (mostly Roman Catholic regions) celebrating the beginning of Lent! Like in Gozo, there are often celebrations, parades, music, and more for Carnival. To begin with, we had gotten some advice from a local to get to Gozo “before six” to beat the crowd for the celebrations. So we began our day by waking up at 4:45am to catch a bus and get on the ferry to Gozo. What we realized once we got there is that he meant 6pm, but with much caffeine the day continued.
