The Carnival of Venice is official since the Renaissance, and it is one of the most beautiful Carnivals, in my opinion.

Today, around 3 million people visit Venice every year for the Carnival. The contest for The Most Beautiful Mask – la maschera più bella – is one of the most important events that occur during the festival.
