OPINION: Policy comparison Labour/Lib Dem/UKIP

When all is said and done, the party that actually wins the election will have to govern. That means putting their policies into action. On a smaller scale, the party that wins in Salford & Eccles will be able to change things even if their party didn’t form the Government.

Several of the parties vying for control of Salford & Eccles have laid out their own particular policies for the area. Labour, the Liberal Democrats, and UKIP are all alike in the manner of their key policy, bringing industry back to the more deprived areas of the constituency. The area is one of contrasts, Salford Quays has demonstrated exactly what regeneration can do for the area, but future regeneration would be planned along the lines of bringing manufacturing back to the area.
