On 26th -31st August 2015, the London School of Puppetry (LSP) ran a week-long programme on the Art of Puppetry in Education and Therapy, focusing on shadow puppetry.
This video shows the participants creating 3D shadows using baskets, nature and found objects. This process was started with a session on ‘basket transformation and mental health’ by Kate James-Moore (Commedia Puppets). The group also integrated various shadow techniques using torches, an overhead projector, projected animations, mirror puppets, body shadows and coloured dyes.
The course was run by Caroline Astell-Burt (LSP) and Kay Yasugi (Pupperoos).
