Sometimes it’s better to buy food all packed in groceries but sometimes it’s also good to know where our food comes from and how it is done. This way, we learn ways to make it more humane for this animals. I’ve been into the Market in the Philippines and I’ve seen images like this. It’s hard to see images like this in person. My first pet pig as a child ended up as a meal. I can’t describe the pain and sadness. I wish there’s a kinder way to dispose an animal. There has to be. Thanks for sharing.

I still remember the strange lack of appetite when offered a piece of a chicken I’d helped to chase down and kill in my home village in southern England a long time ago. It helped me appreciate that whatever you eat it was once alive and should have had a decent existence.
Thanks for the comment!
