I have recently been doing some volunteer work for Cabasa carnival arts at the global grooves in Mossley Manchester. The costumes I was working in will be featured in the Manchester day parade. I have been working with team of talented volunteers and Cabasa leaders which has been a great experience. Recently we have been making giant butterfly wings which will be made into costume for the carnival performer. The wings are made from silk and the patterns were what we hand drew. After we drew the patterns we did batik on the silk and then dyed the wings.
