Last weekend, I should have been attending the Phlock Live photography conference and running filmmaking workshops. Like many others, I’d been looking forward to it for ages, so when the event was sadly cancelled, I wondered if there was something we could still do collectively as a group. So I asked everyone to film their first cuppas of the day on Saturday, and I’d join them up in a finished montage. Many people from all around the world were filming for the first time.

Thank you to everyone for reminding me how something as simple as a brew can connect us all in these strange times. It’s actually made me feel quite emotional putting it together. All those beautiful mugs, the hands warming, the steam, the light, the moments of calm.
