There’s something different about Elsa.
Everyone is familiar with Disney’s trademark art style. Their beloved animated characters often have cute, diminutive features with large, expressive eyes. These proportions make them appear more cartoon-like than realistic, which gave one artist an idea for a twist on Disney convention. In her ongoing project, California-based illustrator Holly Fae reimagines famous Disney princesses and other characters with more lifelike proportions.
Fae started the series by transforming the starlet sisters of Frozen, Elsa and Anna. Using the Procreate app on her iPad, she altered the princesses’ childlike features by elongating their faces and making their eyes smaller. Then, the digital artist shared videos of her process on her TikTok which quickly garnered millions of views and likes.[…]
