From Mad Men to Henri Cartier-Bresson :: What can composition do?


Composition is arguably the most important tool in telling a story. Everything in a photo is important to that message. The placement of objects and proximity is important. Relationships of shapes have meaning. This is the most important skill you can master in photography. In this video we’ll look at the nostalgic cinematography of the AMC series Mad Men as well as the still photography work of Henri Cartier-Bresson and Marc Riboud.
