Tomohiro Inaba is an artist who creates sculptures that engage the viewer through their own imagination. Depending on your point of view, Inaba’s works look like they’re either disintegrating into mid-air, or being assembled into a whole as the wires continually thin out until only “blanks” remain.

“A Story That You See” is a new exhibition of work by Tomohiro Inaba, currently on view at YukikoMizutani, a gallery in the Tennoz district of Tokyo.  Consisting of new works featuring animal motifs such as bison, sheep, deer, and dogs, as well as pieces inspired by human figures, “the blank spaces are the margins where the viewer’s imagination can touch and draw a story, and this imagination gives the sculptures autonomy and life to the animals Inaba creates.” […]
