George Floyd: attacks on reporters at protests – BBC News

Dozens of journalists covering anti-racism protests that have rocked the US have reported being targeted by security forces using tear gas, rubber bullets and pepper spray.

In many cases, they said it was despite showing clear press credentials.

Such attacks “are an unacceptable attempt to intimidate [reporters]”, said the Committee to Protect Journalists, a New York-based group.

1 Response to George Floyd: attacks on reporters at protests – BBC News

  1. American democracy a beacon to the world … hmmmm

The police clearly don’t want there nasty behaviour documented. It was similar during the student “unrest” in the seventies in Germany, only that they did not shoot, they “just” knippled down unarmed poeple, dragged women by their hair over the asphalt and confiscated cameras to take the films out (that was before the digital age).
