Sheep in British Folklore & Superstition

Welcome to my channel! Here you’ll find folklore from across the British Isles. In this video I look into the folklore of sheep and shepherds from across Britain. I start by looking at the origins of some of their oldest customs, then move into luck and fortune. I also make mention of the Yan, Tan, Tethera sheep counting method which you may be familiar with.

Music used:
Canny Shepherd Laddies (opening tune)
The Lark Ascending by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
