Given the title, I think it might be a comment on the finality and essentially contradictory nature, of settling disputes with arms?

Hm, the title doesn’t really get me there, but then I am not familiar with that expression. But it is true that one behaves different one to one outside one’s own turf, than when we meet many inside our turf.
