THE HUNGER – an award-winning sci-fi short film

From the store to the kitchen. In an instant.
The era of shopping by particle transfer has arrived. Place a simple online order and tomatoes, radishes, cucumbers and other fresh produce will appear in your counter-top appliance in seconds.
But why is a dentist in Pittsburgh finding that his food is mysteriously disappearing as he prepares dinner?
THE HUNGER was named best sci-fi short film in three film festivals in 2021, including the Paris International Film Awards. The film was a pandemic collaboration between two friends, Jim Lobley, an actor, and Stan Freeman, a writer.
For more science fiction by Stan Freeman, look for “The God Question and The Galapagos Colony” on Amazon. Named by Kirkus Reviews as one of “the best Indy books of 2021,” it’s a collection of two novellas in which science and religion collide. Says the San Francisco Book Review, “Fascinating .. In the style of the science fiction greats such as Asimov and Clarke … Great storytelling.” Says the Midwest Book Review, “An exceptional opportunity for thinking sci-fi readers … A thought provoking juxtaposition of hard sci-fi and spiritual philosophy.”
