[making of] Etreintes – Justine Vuylsteker

Justine Vuylsteker talks about the making of her 2018 short “Etreintes” (Embraced) produced by Offshore and NFB.

“Etreintes” was developed after a four-weeks residency at Bois d’Arcy, with “the Epinette” : the last pinscreen built by Alexandre Alexeieff and Claire Parker in 1977 which was recently restored thanks to the CNC. During its development, the project also enjoyed a one-month residency at the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud (France) and a six-weeks residency at the Cinematheque of Montreal (Canada). The shooting took place at CICLIC Animation (Vendôme).
