What a moment. I had the opportunity to film a 90 min. music special following banjo picking Earl Scruggs and his sons on the road to play with those they most admired. At the top of that list was Doc Watson. This scene was filmed with a single camera and a single microphone at Doc’s home in North Carolina. To see these 2 magnificent musicians (and magnificent people) just sit down and pick some good bluegrass/country/mountain tunes was hard to sit there and film because I want to get up and move my body with their wonderful music.
