England’s STRANGEST Historic County Border


On the 1st of April 1974, England underwent several major county border changes. Perhaps the most dramatic was that of the county of Lancashire, which once featured its very own exclave in what is now Cumbria. In this video, we explore the four main towns of this fascinating area that was once cut off from the county to which it belonged, and discover the story behind these bizarre borders.
