  1. Haha, the Danes are still using the 20 unit system in their numbers, just like France with their quatrevingt. ( All of the nordic countries did. )

    50 = three units of twenty, the third only half

    70 = four units of twenty etc.

    90 = five units of twenty etc.

    the rest is normal. In Sweden and Norway they do not use the numbers like that, but in Sweden they still have the word “snes” to indicate a unit of twenty or nowadays “some”.

    I find it very interesting that counting in units of 20 was a “thing” once, also in France I think in Greece as well at a time.
