Kin-tsugi « the golden joinery » is also known as Kintsukuroi (金繕い, “golden repair »). It is is written 金継ぎ,and it’s the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics or pottery, with lacquer dusted or mixed with gold, sometimes even silver or other pigments. Part of the Wabi-Sabi worldview, it emphasizes the story of objects and embraces their scars.
