Great Scottish folk band Barluath add step dancing to their concert in St Margarets Braemar 2019

Glasgow-based Scottish folk band Barluath performing a set of tunes inspired by the changeable weather during a holiday on Skye. This was part of their concert in the unique setting of St Margarets in Braemar, Scotland, on 10th June 2019. During this song, Ainsley Hamill performed a traditional step dance on stage.

Braluath embrace both traditional and contemporary music of Scotland, with a mix of Gaelic and English songs together with Highland pipes, fiddle, piano, guitar and Scottish step dance. The group was formed in 2011 by students from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Scottish Music course, but a one-off gig for a local Burns Supper led on to much bigger things.
