WHY ARE ALL THE HOUSES IN SWEDEN RED?


Why in the world are all the Swedish houses red? Well, let me tell you a story.. It all began back in the 1400-century when the King at that time wanted his castle to have the same beautiful copper roof he had seen in Castles in Europe.

  1. It is a very pleasant colour for a house in the countryside. In Denmark we call that colour “svensk rød” Swedish red. It is also quite popular here.
