Fascinating 19th Century Photos of Old Japan Brought To Life

In recent years, museums such as The Metropolitan and The Getty have made digital collections of photographs by Suzuki Shinichi available to the public. We’ve chosen a few of these images for today’s video. What is strikingly beautiful about these photos is that they are delicately hand-coloured, making them stand out from standard black and white photos of the time. We’ll see samples in this video in their original format, then apply quick enhancements, colour restoration, and, where possible, facial animations to take this presentation to the next level.
