This video is an edited version of a practice session done prior to the main event of the 2001 Merlefest celebration. (Merlefest is a annual tribute to Doc’s son Merle who died too young in a tragic accident) Doc and Merle toured together for many years, and played at 1000’s of summer music festivals.This was the first time Doc and Dolly ever met and worked together.
