I hope they reopen as a community enterprise with a wealthy guardian angel…

That would be great. Where my friend lives in Lincolnshire, the community is driving a pub and restaurant (“only” serving fish and chips), while the building belongs to the council now that puts it at the disposal of the community. Also a solution, everybody is happy.
