A survey shows that 54% supports congress opening the process, compared to 42% who reject this action against the president
For the first time since Datafolha began to question Brazilians about the issue, in April 2020, the majority is in favor of opening the impeachment process for President Jair Bolsonaro (no party).
There are 54% of those interviewed in favor of an action being filed by the House of Representatives, compared to 42% who are against it. 2,074 people across the country were surveyed on the 7th and 8th of July.
n the previous round, in May, the pro-impeachment had outnumbered those against the idea, but it was a technical tie (49% to 46%) because the margin of error is two percentage points.
Between the survey in May and the current one, suspicions arose of obscure negotiations for non-existent vaccines, with allegations of bribery, and a super request for impeachment was taken to Congress.[…]
