The film is about Maurice Bishop, the people of Grenada, their fight for equality and the subsequent 1983 US invasion. Panellists include Michael La Rose from New Beacon Books, and Dr Bruce Paddington. Witnessing the passing of a father is a deeply personal experience. For some, this grief is compounded by external events. Following a father’s passing and during arrangements for his funeral, the shocking news of a massacre and subsequent invasion emerged. Bodies intended for funeral homes were instead collected by invading forces and buried, an ignominious end for a father who loved his country.
