Are you confused by samba bateria terms in Portuguese? Then this series is for you! In this first episode, we’ll cover the following nine terms: samba, samba-enredo, escola de samba, sambista, bloco, bateria, mestre de bateria, ritmo, and ritmista. We hope this video provides much needed clarity on some typical terms used in the tradition of Rio’s samba school baterias. Drop a comment below and let us know what you learned from this video and which other terms you would like explained in future episodes.
