A noisy fun filled celebration of the joys of being alive using dance and percussion to play the rhythms of various styles of Brazilian Carnival!
Manchester School of Samba runs a class where where we learn the various elements of our performance to be shown at Festivals, Carnivals, and large and small events throughout the year mostly in Greater Manchester but also further afield (we’ve played the Notting Hill Carnival, and the biggest Samba Event in Europe, Coburg Samba Festival seven times). So if you wish to join pop down to our main rehearsal at Sacred Trinity Church, Chapel Street, Salford, M3 5DW today at 7p.m.!
All drums are provided and you simply need to turn up, pay your entrance fee (£5/4.50) and join in. It’s open to people of all levels of ability over the age of 18 (children can come if they are accompanied by a responsible adult) and finishes around 9.30p.m. (with a break around 8.30).
So many details, so little time… Bring a towel, it’s steaming!
