SYNOPSIS
Radha, at its core is a film about love and sacrifice. The story is set in Kolkata and revolves around Radha, an elderly lady who nurtured a young boy and loves him with all her heart. Destiny made them grow apart with time and thus begins the wait of the titular character to catch a glimpse of him who now stays in a different city.
The story weaves an invisible bond between two people, similar to that of Radha,s wait and “biraha” for Krishna after he left her in Vrindavan according to the Hindu mythology. The young boy with his innocence and playful nature amuses the woman he adores. Radha is his mentor, friend and idol. He looks up to her for everything. She is his inspiration to strive for his dreams and face the challenges in life. He, on the other hand, brings a smile to her face and makes her laugh.
The film is an ode to the ones who wait for us back at home, and will hopefully make you reach out to them with love.

This 3D-animated film, created with Pixar’s Renderman for Houdini, won Film of the Year and People’s Choice at the Rookie Awards 2024, and was a finalist for Rookie of the Year. With an impressive team of 30 talented students from Brigham Young University’s Center for Animation, this capstone project showcases cutting-edge animation, compelling storytelling, and stunning visuals.
This film was crafted using iterative design, procedural modeling, and collaboration across a variety of animation disciplines.
