Rio+Social (ENG)

https://vimeo.com/38576722

Rio+Social will happen in June 19, 2012 and promises to be one of the most important gatherings of technology, social media and global leaders in the history of South America. This global conversation, focusing on topics related to #SocialGood and how new media can help foster positive solutions to the world’s biggest problems, comes at a time when the world gathers to discuss issues that affect us all.
The use of technology and digital media has changed the way we interact with each other and the world. Our efforts to find solutions to the issues that shape how we live are directly connected to technology and social media. Using “social” for “good” is a critical component for achieving positive outcomes at Rio + 20 and for the future we want.
The same founders of the annual Social Good Summit are organizing Rio+Social: the United Nations Foundation, Mashable, and 92nd Street Y. Rio+Social will also be made possible with generous support and innovative leadership from Ericsson, EDP, and LiveAD.
