In this short fiction story, we explore a young woman’s life-long journey toward understanding emotions. Born without the ability to properly process and thus experience emotions, she is compelled to ask and answer questions like: Can emotions be fully understood through information alone? Can they be broken down into their parts and still contain their feelings? Can we ever objectively know what subjective experiences are really like?

“In late 2024/early 2025, βͺ@gettymuseumβ¬’s PST LA brought together cultural and scientific institutions from around SoCal to explore the intersection of Art and Science. The new PBS documentary ART & SCIENCE COLLIDE, explores the deep, often overlooked connections between these two fields and highlights five projects that were part of PST ART, and their creators: American Artist, Cannupa Hanska Luger, Special Species, Lauren Bon, and Hayv Kahraman. The documentary examines how creativity and inquiry intersect to inspire curiosity, innovation, and social impact.

You may have seen the odd tram heading to the wrong destination on the Ashton Line before. This isn’t a one-off service change: it’s actually scheduled to happen every Saturday at around 10:00, but why is it going to Trafford Bar, and why does it happen every Saturday?
Something I forgot to mention was that you’ll also see trams to weird destinations at around the end of peak times Monday – Saturday, like Trafford Bar, Victoria, Old Trafford, Abraham Moss, Monsall, or Firswood. These are also returning trams to the depot (I will talk about this in the future)
