Witnessing the passing of a father is a deeply personal experience. For some, this grief is compounded by external events. Following a father’s passing and during arrangements for his funeral, the shocking news of a massacre and subsequent invasion emerged. Bodies intended for funeral homes were instead collected by invading forces and buried, an ignominious end for a father who loved his country.
