What You Don’t Know About The Rosetta Stone

[…]

We’ve all heard of the Rosetta Stone, either the language-learning software or the stone itself. But how much do you really know about it? Let’s get into the full history of this icon of ancient Egypt, what we learned from studying it, and why it’s a controversial object even today.

Is This the End of Car Design as We Know It?

The explosion of car brands in the electric vehicle space has brought about a wave of innovation, set to change how automobiles work for and with us. However, with so many brands competing against each other, these innovations are starting to get weird, completely up-ending our understanding of what a car is.

We look at the likes of CATL with their skateboard chassis and battery tech, as well as cars like the Zeekr Mix, Human Horizons HiPhi Z, Micro Microlino, and the Sony Afeela 1, and brands like BYD, Tesla, Honda, Bestune, Zoox, and Wuling, to understand where they are taking the idea of the car.

We also look at how new tech like the steer by wire steering yokes, autonomous driving and safety features are shaping vehicles, and how companies like Xbus and Slate Automotive are bringing modularity into car design.

Snugly Nestled In The Reeds on a Wilderness Canal With My Cygnet #243

On our narrowboat floating home we are starting a unique journey onto a canal that has to be booked 48 hours in advance and is rarely travelled by any other narrowboats. It will not be easy to navigate but it is a complete escape from the rest of the world. This video shows how we get on trying to move our narrowboat home through this incredibly beautiful wilderness and where and how we moor. #travelvlog #narrowboatlife #narrowboatliving #offgrid #tinyhome #nature #mindfulness #asmr I sell copies of my nature journals in my Etsy shop; https://themindfulnarrowboat.etsy.com which run alongside the playlists:

Britain’s GIANT EAGLES are coming back from extinction

Many years ago, white-tailed eagles, also known as sea eagles, sadly became locally extinct in the UK. But now, they’re making a comeback. In this video, I’ll tell you how they disappeared, how they returned and I’ll also be attempting to track one down myself.

Astonishing discovery by computer scientist: how to squeeze space into time

This year, computer scientist Ryan Williams showed an astounding connection between space and time. He thought it was too strange to be true. But, it is.

It’s about space, time, fundamental constraints, a 50-year-old mystery, and magical pebbles that resolved a $100 bet.
